These two sleek beauties were back-lit by the light coming from a nearby outer door. The background was entirely too cluttered so I simply allowed it to fade out, giving the effect of distance. The client wanted the intricately designed rug kept, however, so I painted it with detail in the foreground but allowed it too fade out into the background.
