Labrador Retrievers come in black, chocolate and yellow. This is an example of a light yellow. Labradors are friendly, good natured, and wonderful with children, making excellent family pets. Their abilities include hunting, retrieving, narcotic detection, guide dogs for the blind, search and rescue. They love to swim and play. Labradors make useful watchdogs, but in general are too amiable and even-tempered to serve as guard dogs. This client wished to have her pet painted with his patriotic bandanna, which added quite a bit of color to the portrait.
