The Siamese breed originated in Thailand (Siam) and became popular in Europe and America from about 1885 on. The most well-known color is the Seal Point, with light body and dark brown, almost black, extremities. Siamese cats have striking blue eyes, large ears, and a long body covered with short silky hair. They are very intelligent and can be mischievous if they get bored.
